i have been calling the various soda companies and have found out how much caffeine there is in the following 12 oz cans of soda. (they are listed in order of most to least.)

mt. dew/diet mt. dew - 55 mg

diet coke - 46.5 mg

dr pepper/diet dr. pepper - 41 mg

pibb xtra/diet pibb xtra 40.5 mg
(on this one i also found that pibb xtra is the newer and "enhanced" version of mr. pibb. the name mr. pibb is no longer used.)

pepsi - 37.2 mg

coke - 34.5 mg

barqs - 22.5 mg

sodas with no caffeine are

fanta
diet barqs

i have heard that sunkist has caffiene in it. and also something interesting is how diet coke has more than regular coke. i suppose that when they take away the sugar etc., it no longer tastes as good, so they add more caffeine. somebody i talked to about this then posed the question, "does that make the dr.pepper and pepsi companies more ethical?"

only time will tell with that question.

oh, and full throttle, the energy drink that is always on sale at stores for like 2 for 2$ and which is owned by the coke company has 144 mg of caffeine in a 16 oz drink.

no doz has 200 mg for every capsule.
