dear dawgs,

my mom just had double knee replacement last week. my dad called this morning telling me that i should call and talk to her, that she had been in a lot of pain and wondering if it had been worth it. in my mind i was thinking my mom was going to be moaning on the phone and saying how terrible it was. but when i talked to her she was very pleasant and happy. she was even making jokes about it. then i thought of how my mom is always like this, that she is always in good spirits. she would never want to burden anybody with her pain. she is definately a giver and not a taker.
