i band i will always admire is u2. not only for their music, but for their ability to use their fame for change in the world. there are thousands of rock bands that play music only to play music. and while this is important to have (music), u2 uses their influence to try, if only on a small scale (but sometimes a much bigger one), to make the world a better place. and though this may sound cheesy (and admittingly u2 has many cheesy songs), it is more meaningful to me with this knowledge that to them, music is a force that can change who people are. and apart from that, that they are also using their fame to make the world a better place.
