"we'll try, but we will have lost"

this is a a pretty good lyric that i have listened to a lot this week. i am actually not even sure if this is what they are saying, but i like it this way, so i don't really want to know if it is wrong. i will probably find out one day and be pretty disappointed with what they are actually saying. they might be saying love at the end, which would be pretty good, but not as good as lost.
