i tend to compare myself to others. i say "this person has done this and this and this, and is 25. why are you not where that person is in life?" but i have come to learn how unfair this is. everybody has had different experiences that lead them to who they are and what they do. so how can i say "i should be in this place cause this person is/was in that place?" when it is obvious why i am not in that place, since me and that person have lead entirely different lives. i think it is good to have goals, and to have people that inspire you. however, i think when people start comparing themselves to others, it defeats the purpose of individuality, and stifles growth.
