sometimes my dad will send me an e card that is so goofy and cheesy. i think, "my dad is really not with it these days." but then i think "i will be like him eventually, out of touch." but i also think that to him he sincerely likes what he is sending.

i will be sending my kids e cards some day that to me will be meaningful and touching, while i am sure to them will be boring and outdated.
